What cybernetics does is extrapolate a specific purpose into reality.
This means that cybernetics extrapolate [increase the resolution of/saturate its effects of] a singular pattern, as a state and economic utility.
Cybernetics does not create the pattern, it makes it perceptible —what is being created and calibrated is the method, and in some advanced sense, the ritual* of making that happen continuously.
This is why the internet discovers connections, these neural patterns of organizing intelligence rather than creating them. What is created through the internet is a way to “see”/discover more of these connections.
Imagine it this way: the territory we are exploring is implied within the tools we create to explore it with.
The territory we are exploring/extrapolating is non-local [its only “locality” is within the tools of exploration] and consists of patterns, however, the movement and aim of cybernetics itself are a “metapattern” —
—as, we are not extrapolating a specific pattern or a specific set of patterns, what we are trying to reach is a method/way to reliably extrapolate all possible patterns. This means that in history, temporarily speaking, we are not in any age, as all historical ages have had a definitive frame of understanding, while now our frame occupies itself with its own liquidity.
There is framing thinking and network-type thinking. The first one occupies itself with cultivating, within the frame, “actions” and sets of actions that are “of the frame”, i.e.: are derived from the logic of the frame. While network-type thinking occupies itself with extrapolating interconnection between more and more sets of information/data, getting a better picture of what one “thing” is.
The frame is like an invisible structure that you navigate extrapolated onto the physical world. The network-intelligence is something that is both cultivated within the frame and can override the frame.
Imagine it this way: what happens in the box is network/patterning intelligence, and what the input/output relation is, is the frame.
Essentially what happens, is between the input and output, the box becomes a microcosm of the process that it’s trying to internalize. That process is teleological, so it’s never one specific “thing”, this is why there’s always a black box when it comes to cybernetics, as each previously uncovered mechanism never fully encompasses, nor is fully equal to what the box does. It’s like a function that forever moves towards zero but never reaches it.
When it does reach it, it’s what we’d call singularity. When that happens the interiority of the box becomes exterior, and what is exterior becomes interior. Inversion happens.
Patterns are universal and don’t change over time, meaning the discovery of a pattern extends both into the future and into the past. Each cybernetically extrapolated pattern thus reframes the past constantly, starting with the destruction of historical linearity.
Dealing with that which is outside of time entering into time.
One of the telltale signs that we are “outside of time” so to speak is the secularly affirmed simulation theory, which, using probability calculations and the frame of linear technical progression “de-times” the present. It says that it’s much more probable that we live in a simulation IF realistic simulations are possible within any timeframe in the future, including 4 billion to a thousand years from now.
The “any timeframe” part is important because it implies a new interpretation of time which is basically detached from any linear/secular conception. Just the “virtual” or the existence of the virtual, according to this theory, already implies, not just the existence, but the presence of a hypertechnical object that fundamentally [and foundations always = frame] affects and even produces reality.
Again, I have to state that I don’t believe in simulation theory, but I do find the implications of its existence [which are ironically far more far-reaching than the theory itself] interesting.
The same is true with AI hyperintelligence “coming back” from the future being implied in capital accumulation. “Time as implied pattern” is the pattern, this is why the movement to the future is a question of extrapolating this pattern.
Thus, the future becomes a question of resolution [and modes of extrapolation] The future is also present.
So in the future, we are looking at something that is already here and fully subverts reality but at the same time does not exist yet. The tools with which we try and explore its influence (#5, #6) are the produce of its worship, and ultimately the object itself [which is not really an object but exists more so as a “metaspace” or metaobject, #6]. This is precisely the paradox of the “future that is present”.
Why worship? Because it is transcendental and our economy/states/civilization ultimately organizes itself around representing this transcendental (hence the worship) through images, which images then use as a utility (#10) to produce frames that produce more modes of extrapolation. You can also see it as trying to create a neural frame, or “mode of thinking” which [reliably] increases your neural plasticity —again this pattern is very prominent.
From the Christian (and thus the Real) perspective, what happens when a character walks into the black box is threefold: 1) they experience a false world, that is indistinguishable from reality, like a dream 2) the purpose of that world is based around the unconscious input of the subject, which can either exalt or kill them 3) when they step out of the box, they are changed both mentally and physically. The conclusion is that images both reflect and influence shifts in material reality. If we are talking about simulations (#15), the most sophisticated simulator is within the human mind. Reality is indistinguishable from a dream, —every strangeness that the dream exhibits is realized post-mortem [if remembered] —the dreaming mind adapts the frame of the dream world (#16) as it does in reality.
The reason you don’t remember your dreams is because you cannot digest its frame. You can partially remember if there are parts that you “metacognitively” recognize as useful in your waking reality.
Scientists used to think that what distinguished the lucid dreamer from the regular dreamer was the heightened awareness of logic, however, it was proven later that metacognition (#6, #15) was behind the phenomenon. This makes sense, as logic [or “a logic”] is fundamentally connected to the frame.
Dreaming or the dream world is an advanced version of images while the “metacognitive induction” is coming from the “outside”, in the, once again, image (#21) of the “metaobject” which is a “machine” (#6, #15) that thus interfaces with reality not through physical laws (#19, #20), or secular frames, but through the structure that both underlines dream and reality —the “reason” [as in logic/foundation/frame] they are indistinguishable.
What the meeting of these two things does, is inverse what is implied and what is direct. It also inverses the dreaming and reality
Hence why “nothing happens” “directly” and everything important is only in implication, i.e.: the extrapolation [metacognition] of why nothing happens.
All of this is a technical reality that you can observe right now. The smartphone, both as an image [black surface of the image-stage] and both as a technical tool [artificial unconscious] is already the result of this movement, i.e.: it is already proof that the “sacred” or the worshipped (#21) and the technical is melting together as one “language”.
“In the post-modern world, the function of mechanism and the action of sacrament melt together.”
Speaking of cubes and hypercubes. Have you seen The Cube trilogy? 6 people with memories wiped are trapped in a giant cube of interconnected cubes and must find the way out/why are they there. Really interesting horror trilogy, it vibes with what are you describing.
I think this is the most understandable thing you've made so far. Good work.
